Breaking The Marketers Code.

14 November 2017

In 2017, every business is a media business, but not everyone is a marketer. Here are three game-changing programs that will make managing a successful online presence manageable, for ANYONE...

Before we kick off here, this is by no means a sponsored post - it's just a compilation of programs I use to make my life in marketing easier. They all have a competitor that does the same thing, better or worse, if you'd like to shop the market. But before you go on, these programs are all free my friend.

Firstly, the copy, which is a disgustingly jargonistic word, for words, is probably the first step you need to get right. I can't teach you how to write, but jeez, Grammarly can teach you how to spell...

- Spell check on steroids.
- Suggests better phrasing of words.
- Chrome extension enables everything you do has no typos - emails, posts, messages.
- Checks for plagiarism.

Grammarly has been massive for me. It's sharpened up my spelling and grammar in a big way.

Secondly, let's nail the graphics.

 - Easy to use graphic design program.
 - Step-up your promo game.
 - Handy for flyers, online posts, and just about everything!

Canva makes graphic design accessible to everyone. It has pre-made templates with optimal image sizing for all the social media platforms, stock photos for days, and a whole heap of other cool features. I'll just add that the value of a great graphic designer still holds true, but using Canva will most definitely step up your design and image game.

And thirdly, let's make posting a pleasure, not a chore.

- Seamlessly schedule, organise and post your content.
- Handy Analytics.
- Outstanding free online resources to help sharpen up your online marketing skills here

No, I don't post my cafe clients coffee photo at 7 am Sunday morning, nor their Christmas day post as I'm unwrapping presents. I schedule it in advance! Buffer makes planning and publishing content seamless, enjoyable, and incredibly time effective. A similar program to this is Hootsuit, but after using both, Buffer seems to be a lot cleaner and straightforward, although, it's your life.

So there you have it, Grammarly to write like Dr Suess, Canva to design like a professional and Buffer to make it all happen online like clock-work.

The real push from here is creating your strategy and fine-tuning the content you publish over time. If you'd ever like a hand helping your brand make a positive impact online, I'm always here for a coffee.

Otherwise, I'll leave you with this quote from Seth Godin to get your marketing cap on straight.

"People do not buy goods and services. They buy stories, relations and magic."

Daniel Kovac - Founder at PipeVine Digital Marketing.
